John Pistole: Enemy of the Constitution

Jon Deniro forwarded me the following letter that he sent to John Pistole at TSA headquarters on December 16th.

John Pistole,

I have never in my life written to any member or employee of the US government before today. Your recent actions and arrogant refusal to 1) act in accord within the framework of the Constitutional restraint on governmental invasion of the Peoples' rights and/or 2) abide by the wishes of the American people have forced me to get involved. I swore a solemn oath, many years ago, and reaffirmed it on more than one occasion to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America from all enemies, foreign and domestic." You sir, are an enemy of the Constitution -- as are all employees of the TSA who stand with you or otherwise acquiesce to your instructions.

The very fact that you and other members of the TSA have been caught outright lying to the American public is irrefutable proof that your actions are criminal, immoral, unconstitutional, and inherently anti-American. Misleading and outright lying to the public to instill fear so that you may advance your agenda is by definition an act of terrorism. If your actions were in any way justifiable, you would not need dishonesty to gain submission from the masses.

What is so twisted in your mind that you believe it is acceptable to require every citizen to submit to being viewed naked in order for them to engage in commerce with a privately owned business? To allow your minions to view their children naked? Their mothers? Oh, I heard your pathetic attempt to mitigate this fact. They can choose to submit to sexual assault instead. This newly heightened sexual assault and humiliation obviously being a means of coercion so that people will consider your strip-search machines the lesser of two evils.

No US citizen should be subjected to such degrading and dehumanizing treatment. But still worse, have you given even a moments consideration to the many people who have been victims of sexual assault in the past, and how traumatic it might be for them to submit to being photographed naked or groped by your thugs? Either a yes or no answer indicates that you are utterly unqualified for the position that you presently hold. If yes, then you are indeed an inhumane monster who cares not for our people and human suffering. If no, then you are inept, and incompetent.

I implore you sir - think of the lives you are damaging. Think of the country you are destroying. Consider the anguish - the human suffering you are causing. All this for what? To satisfy your ego? To soothe your bruised pride? To appease a higher level bureaucrat? Are you truly so callous that you would do all this irreparable and utterly unnecessary harm to innocent people to satisfy your apparent lust for power? Or is it perhaps political aspirations that drive you to the heinous acts you commit? Have you no decency in you at all? No morals? No compassion? No loyalty to the United States?

Whether your motives are merely horribly misguided or just plain evil - You, and those in your charge, ARE the terrorists who are not only threatening, but actively destroying, the The USA.

If for only once in your life, stand up and be counted as an American. Stop this atrocity. This persecution of all that is good and just about this country - the Constitution, and the decent people it was written to protect - NOT FROM FOREIGN POWERS, BUT FROM THE VERY SORT OF TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENT YOU PERPETUATE.

Stop using fabricated threats to terrorize our people. Stop lying to our people. Contrary to your apparent beliefs, we are entitled to the truth. While men such as you find it highly inconvenient - We The People have rights. You are our servant, not our master.

Men far wiser than you or I created and administered over this country. How would they judge your actions? We need not speculate. Let us honor them by acting according to their wishes...In their own words:

James Madison:

"If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy."

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."

"It is a universal truth that the loss of liberty at home is to be charged to the provisions against danger, real or pretended, from abroad."

"The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home."

"We are right to take alarm at the first experiment upon our liberties."

"Where an excess of power prevails, property of no sort is duly respected. No man is safe in his opinions, his person, his faculties, or his possessions."

Benjamin Franklin:

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both."

John Adams:

"The government turns every contingency into an excuse for enhancing power in itself.”

Thomas Jefferson:

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it."

"A Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference."

"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny."

"I have sworn upon the alter of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."

"It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself."

"Leave no authority existing not responsible to the people."

"Liberty is to the collective body, what health is to every individual body. Without health no pleasure can be tasted by man; without liberty, no happiness can be enjoyed by society."

"My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government."

"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual."

"The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive."

"To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."

"Whenever a man has cast a longing eye on offices, a rottenness begins in his conduct."

Abraham Lincoln:

“The people of the United States are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.”

"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power."

"No man is good enough to govern another man without that other's consent."

"The probability that we may fail in the struggle ought not to deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just."

If you intend to respond to this letter, it would be in the best interest of all to do so in an expedient manner. With the Christmas holiday fast approaching, time is of the essence, and unfortunately, I must take further steps before then unless you make a genuine gesture of good will and capitulation. If you find the short notice inconvenient, you might remember that it was You who chose to promote this latest escalation of hostilities against the American public and the U.S. Constitution a single day before the holiday season began. Let us not pretend that this was mere happenstance.

With the utmost sincerity,

  1. Yeah, I don't understand why the general public can't see through these digital strip searches (pun intended). It's bad now, but this is only a stepping stone for strip search machines being mounted in all public spaces - shopping malls, banks, music shops, you name it. Not to mention the mobile scanners authorities will soon be using to make sure we put on clean undies before leaving the house. Welcome to the New Year, 1984.

  3. I am a USN veteran and I have worked for the TSA in a security sensitive position and dealt with the TSA personal daily and I will neither fly or ride on a train in this country, now will I go to an airport or a train station. The TSA functions as the Gestopo. Soon travel from county to county will reguire routine search. Hunt Al-qaeda and the Taliban terrorists with our military in any country that supports them. The TSA needs a leash.
