Reminder: National Opt-out Day is Tomorrow!

Opt for the pat down if you're flying tomorrow.

Someone send me an email saying that an acquaintance who is a TSO says that TSA/DHS is telling the screeners that this will all blow over in a month or two. I firmly believe it won't - prove me right by making a big stink tomorrow!

  1. Thankfully I am able not only to drive instead of fly (my version of opting-out, I guess), but to drive TODAY thanks to the ability to telecommute for work. I will be making a 350-mile trek with several anti-TSA signs on my humble Honda for fellow drivers to see. (I will send you pictures, as you requested.)

Tomorrow, while working from home, I will be praying for all of those more directly involved in National Opt-Out Day, including you and your family, Kathryn. I hope everyone's travels are as painless as possible.

  2. Opt-out. When the TSA goon touches your junk drop to your knees howling in pain, as you were just hit in the nuts. After you recover from the pain, demand to see a police officer and file assualt charges. If a few hundred TSA thugs get hauled off in handcuffs, the policy will be changes.

  3. @emspeaks - Fortunately, I won't be flying for Thanksgiving... my ordeal is over Christmas (maybe things will change by then?). Looking forward to the pics!

    Good luck to everyone else!

  4. I think gridlock tomorrow would be great to send a powerful message, but folks, there's something more important at stake here. TSA is exploiting and assaulting law-abiding citizens - men, women, children, elderly, disabled, everyone. Please protect yourselves - both your physical bodies and your natural rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Our rights and liberty are our most precious heritage as a nation and came at a very high cost to our forbears, many of whom paid the ultimate price for the freedom of those they left behind (us). We must safeguard those same freedoms and the rule of law for our own children. How can we hand our children's future over to the claws of tyranny just because we don't want to miss Thanksgiving at Grandma's this year?

And we must protect our children as well against the crimes of the state that are happening today and will continue tomorrow and throughout the holiday season. Opting out isn't good enough - protect yourselves and stay away from the airports until this threat has been contained. Please visit http://FedUpFlyers.org and tell others about the site as well. Happy holidays to all - please be safe!
