Response from US Air

My most recent letter crossed paths with US Air's response to my first letter. I don't have time to transcribe this or comment on it now, so I'll leave it at: this is a really lame reply.

  1. Another non-impressive response is the the order of the day it seems; I've just got a run around from Southwest as well.

Cheers for all your hard work - sorry that US Air gave such a predictably weak reply.

  2. On Monday, the 1st, I flew to San Diego from Omaha and was not scanned. then I flew back and again was not scanned. I wasn't going to be scanned but was not required to object. Hummm.. do I look that imposing? 67, 5'5" ... gray hair lol

  3. One weapon we can use--boycott the airlines.

Once these fascist, communist companies begin to hurt at the bottomline, they will stop this outrage.

  4. @Anonymous, But these fascist, communist companies are completely non-affected by their bottom lines. By taking the lead in humiliating and dominating the public, they know they will be bailed out no matter what. They were bailed out once already as part of quantitative counterfeiting 1.0 immediately after 9/11.

They have less incentive than ever to treat their customers with dignity. And as Jan Fitz said in the letter, lots of their customer love having their genitals squeezed if it will keep them safe from those Islamic Extremists.

  5. Sample questions for letters to airlines:

Question #1: My wife and I will be traveling from Las Vegas to Orlando to visit family this Christmas. If my wife chooses to be sexually assaulted rather than photographed naked, am I required to watch the sexual assault or may I direct my gaze away from the sexual assault while its happening? There are many reports that indicate that the regime often requires family members to watch while other family members are raped in many of its provinces such as Iraq and Afghanistan. But surely only a despotic regime would require me to watch as they sexually assault my wife at an airport checkpoint in the US?

Question #2: After I am sexually assaulted, am I required to thank my assailant when he's through with me? I've heard that the sickest rapists require their victims to kiss them and then thank them when the rapists are finished with their victims. Surely only a despotic regime would require me to thank them after they sexually assault me? And surely only a despotic regime would not respect my natural right to curse and ridicule my assailant after he's through with me?

  6. I'd love to see photographic or video evidence of all the passengers who are happy with and demand to be strip searched and sexually assaulted.

Seems to me more likely that anyone who says they are happy about all this "security" thinks everyone else should be assaulted and searched... but they know that THEY are ok.

It's like taxes... those who approve of it think everyone ELSE should be paying it, not them.

  7. I applaud efforts of all to oppose the scanners. The problem is, we live with a fascist government. This being said, they don't care if you stop traveling or not. If you cease to travel they when by restricting your travel. If you continue to travel they win because you surrender your liberty. They're design is working.

  8. I'd call that a non-response.

Next step...small claims court (be sure to bill them for everything, your time included...)

  9. I'm waiting for an all-out riot to erupt at a major U.S. airport once some TSA thugscum goes too far in his "groping" routine. Believe you me, folks, that day is approaching faster than most people think. In fact, I'd bet on just such an incident happening during the upcoming holiday season when frantic, stressed-out travelers are more on edge and in more of a truculent mood than usual.

  10. Ending the TSA Insanity thru Boycott

Ending the TSA Insanity thru Boycott
The Congress and Senate are doing nothing to end this trespass on our constitutional rights. The only way we can get them to listen is to strike back at them through their financiers. As it appears they want to restrict our travel, it would not be wise to boycott airlines as the government will just further subsidize them. I am suggesting that other companies are boycotted to the point their stock prices drop until their CEO's and Board members tell their owned assets in congress to stop the bleeding. I am suggesting a boycott that each week grows with another company name on the list. Within 2 consecutive quarters, the impact will be felt, and those companies listed next will be panic'd to realize the slaves have awoken. Since our congress is not listening to us, let them listen to the executives of:
    1. GM- Buy No new vehicles till scanners are removed
    2. Chrysler- Buy No new vehicles till scanners are removed
    3. Disney- Buy no products or visit the parks or see the movies
    4. New York Times- Buy no papers (Perhaps we can identify another advertiser in their paper boycott)
    5. FOX news- Stop watching- lowering their Neilsen ratings and thus their price for advertizing on air
After 2 consecutive quarters, let We the people add more to the list- this time we add more companies

    6. Bank of America- Close all accounts
    7. Citigroup- Close all accounts
    8. Walmart- No more shopping at ChinaCo
    9. Exxon (buy gas but not from here, this will force them to have a surplus and drive their share down)

in 30 days if the machines are still at the airports- add:

    10. BP (buy gas but not from here, this will force them to have a surplus and drive their share down)
    11. Chevron (buy gas but not from here, this will force them to have a surplus and drive their share down)

Once these companies start seeing their profits disappear they will end the boycott by removing the machines from all airports. IMHO, Cronyism is what led to these machines being put in place, and Cronyism means profit. Take the profits from others in their circles, and those people will clean their own house.
If our votes are not being heard, our Boycott will drive the powers that be into doing the right thing, or our elected officials will lose their campaign contributions

  11. One reason some flying customers are 'happy' about the increased security is their misunderstanding about the nature of 'whole body scanners'.
    For example:
A friend of mine and her husband are flying to Asia next week and I asked her if she would submit to the body scan if directed to that line by an agent. The departure airport uses both metal directors and a body scanner. I came to find out she thought the body scanner was just a glorified x-ray machine, with the picture similar to what she has seen after an ex-ray at a doctor's office. This friend is extremely well informed and savvy in other areas, and very much for individual liberty and responsibility, she just hasn't followed the news about TSA and current airport security issues. She was also completely surprised about how the 'enhanced pat-down' works, if she chooses to not be nudie-scanned. She thought the TSA would just 'use the wand' to scan your body if you opt out of the whole body scanner. She couldn't believe she would be groped in full view of everyone.
I encouraged her to get on-line and do some research before her flight in order to be prepared, and that I'll be talking to her after she gets home to find out what her experience was like. In a month she will be flying with her teenage daughter. I could tell both of them were hoping that the situation with the TSA is not as bad as I was making it out to be.
I am sure that I would find more friends like this if I asked around. I think the furor about this will increase greatly as more and more people find out what the scanners are really about. As more people opt out, by either choosing the pat-downs or by not flying at all, the goons at the TSA are bound to respond by tightening the screws. Isn't that always the reaction of those who are power hungry! This will wake up more people to the the burgeoning police state and, hopefully, hasten its demise.
Education and information is the key.

  12. Well, maybe the airlines won't be hurt because of quantitative government counterfeit bailouts, but tourist destinations like Mexico, Jamaica, Europe, Disneyworld, Club Meds, etc., will suffer greatly if vacationers traveling from America stop flying. American tourism will suffer as people from other countries will not want to spend their tourist dollars here because of the b.s. at our airports.

  13. I've been interested in your country's TSA scanners since the uproar in my Twitter and Facebook communities and also because I know these scanners are very harmful.

Would insurance companies cover for health damages due to these scanners? I doubt so! And even so, would you still want to be scanned?

Thanks for keeping everyone updated on your communication with relevant authorities. I hope things will change for the better. Everyday life is a battle, but don't stop the fight that strips us of our human rights!
